HOTEL CASONA SAN ANDRES
SURROUNDINGS OF THE HOTEL CASONA DE SAN ANDRES
The Hotel Casona San Andrés is located in the center of Seville between the Alameda
and the main shopping streets of Cuna, Tetuan and Sierpes.
In Plaza San Andrés we also find Bar Santa Marta, a good place
for tapas or a meal. Lunch and dinner specialties include both meats
and seafood, plus paella on the weekends.
On the other side of the Plaza on calle Daoiz we find the San Andrés
church. Rooms with a balcony have a view of the front of the church.
With just a few minutes walk we find Plaza del Duque. To the left behind
the trees is El Corte Inglés, a department store with a large
supermarket on the bottom floor. The store stays open all day, from 10:00 to 22:00.
A booth in the market in the Plaza del Duque. Several days a week local
artisans and craftsmen sell clothing, bags, jewelry and art in the plaza.
Turning around we find La Campana, where calles Tetuan and Sierpes begin,
the two principal shopping streets in the commercial district.
Looking to the left we see La Camapana, Sevilla's most famous and oldest
destination for pastries, sweets and coffee.
From Plaza de San Andrés we turn right into the Pasaje de Azahares,
where we find a self-service laundry. With a 2 minute walk from the
Hotel you can drop off your laundry for a wash, dry and fold and pick
it up the same afternoon.
Less than a minute from the pasaje is Plaza Encarnación and a local market selling
fruits, vegetables, fish, meats and more.
From the back of Plaza Encarnación we walk for another 5 minutes,
following calle Regina to calle Feria where every Thursday morning an antiques market is held.
