HOTEL CASAS DE LA JUDERIA

SURROUNDINGS OF THE HOTEL LAS CASAS DE LA JUDERIA

Hotel Casas de la Juderia is located in the old Jewish quarter of the Santa Cruz neighborhood, leading to the old city gate of Puerta de la Carne. Plenty of outdoor dining options are in Plaza Santa Maria la Blanca. The small arched entrance to the hotel on Callejon Dos Hermanas is just on the left behind the umbrellas.

In the same plaza there is a small exchange house which also offers internet access. We don't recommend changing money in an exchange house, but the internet access is convenient to the hotel.

Inside the Santa Maria la Blanca church, just a few doors down from the Hotel entrance.

Just a minute's walk from the Santa Maria la Blanca church we find calle Cano y Cueto and Restaurante El Modesto, one of our favorite places to eat in Sevilla. The restaurant kitchen stays open all day.

We cross the small street by the restaurant and arrive at the Jardines Murillos, the gardens just outside the Alcazar walls.

Just up a side street from the Jardines Murillo is the Plaza de Santa Cruz. Behind the trees to the right is Restaurante La Albahaca, well known for it's excellent cuisine.

Several outdoor dining options can be found in Plaza de Doña Elvira, a 5 minute walk from the Plaza de Santa Cruz and the Hotel.

Returning to the hotel we follow calle Santa Maria la Blanca in the opposite direction to calle Marmoles. Three columns from a Roman temple dedicated to Hercules can be found standing in a small area next to an apartment building.

We continue on calle Mateos Gago until we reach the Cathedral. The Alcazar is just behind us in this photo.

Entertainment options close to the hotel are numerous. Here we see the patio of the Casa de la Memoria on calle Ximénez de Enciso, which is the venue for their nightly flamenco performances.

Just two blocks away from the hotel is Cafe-Bar Levies on calle Levies. This is a popular nightspot in Barrio Santa Cruz.

Following calle Levies we arrive at La Carboneria, a favorite bar for locals and tourists because of the live flamenco performances every night. La Carboneria is very large and includes an indoor area, a covered terrace and an outdoor patio for the summer and spring.
