Hostal La Gloria is located in the heart of the shopping district, with easy access to the major monuments, as well as the river, Triana quarter and the Plaza de Armas bus station. The traditional Sevillian building is owned and operated by family members who once lived in the same house. The hostal has a roof terrace, guest television room and free WiFi internet access. Cafe Bar Zahiro, located on the ground floor of the building, serves breakfast and tapas with plenty of outdoor seating in a small plaza filled with orange trees.

The historic building is situated at the end of calle San Eloy, one of the principal shopping streets in the city. A portion of the building also overlooks the calle San Roque. The roof terrace has a view towards the Magdalena church roof top, while further in the distance is the Cathedral.

Why we selected this hotel... Top |

The hostal is a good value for budget travelers, and puts them in the middle of just about everything. For those arriving by car, the entrance to the city center is without the complications of the narrow one way streets of the city, and the public garage is located just 1 minute from the hostal. For those arriving or planning to depart by bus in the Plaza de Armas bus station, the hostal is less than 10 minutes away. We like the proximity to the El Corte Ingles supermarket, the best in Seville, as well as Casa Carmen, one of our recommended locations to take in a flamenco show. In the hostal we prefer the exterior rooms for the generous amount of natural light, while even many of the interior rooms have natural light thanks to several windows to the interior patios. For the common areas, the preservation of the original losa floors and tiles on the first floor speak for the authenticity of the house. The roof terrace offers a nice view of the Magdalena church and surrounding area. Finally, connecting to the free WiFi was easy in the comforts of the sunny guest lounge.
