The Alameda de Hercules is a large open plaza with large trees on both sides. The plaza is covered by albero (sand).

The kiosks of in the centre of the plaza with palm trees for decoration. This gives the Alameda a kind of beach atmosphere, which is one reason for it’s popularity during the summer months.

In between the kiosks is the area for the botellón of the young crowd. The drinks, ice and mixers are bought in small stores and consumed here instead of a bar.

At the northern edge of the Alameda are two well known bars.
