We follow calle San Eloy, one of the main pedestrian streets in the commercial district.

We turn left into small, shaded plaza next to calle San Eloy, leading us to Plaza Magdalena and a local market.

Clothing and bags in the artisan market in Plaza Magdalena, a two minute walk from the hostal. Vendors are in the plaza several days a week. El Corte Inglés, with a large supermarket in the bottom floor open from 10:00 to 22:00, is on a corner next to the plaza.

Returning to the hostal we walk 1 minute from calle San Eloy to calle El Silencio and find the San Antonio Abad church on the corner of calle Alfonso XII.

Inside is the church we find this altar with two of the figures that are part of the church procession El Silencio during Semana Santa. The salida, when the procession leaves the church, is not to be missed: all lights are turned off in the street and a strict silence is observed.

El Corte Inglés is on just behind the church on the opposite side of calle Alfonso XII. There is a large supermarket located in the basement.

We follow calle Alfonso XII to the Plaza del Museo and the Museum of Fine Arts (Museo de Bellas Artes).

Every Sunday morning local artists sell their works in the plaza next to the museum.
