Hotel YH Giralda is located in a renovated 18th century Sevillian house
in the Santa Cruz quarter of Seville, approximately one hundred meters from
the Cathedral. A former house of abbots, the historic residence has been
renovated to include 14 guest rooms which face either the pedestrian street
in front of the hotel or the three story central patio. The hotel amenities
include an Andalusian style patio, guest sitting room, 24 hour reception,
and wireless internet access. During the lengthy renovation project, the owners were careful in preserving as much of the original structure as possible. The original exposed wooden beams and high ceilings can be found in the common areas and most rooms. The hotel's location is perfect for visiting Seville, surrounded by the major monuments and pedestrian streets of Santa Cruz.  |
Rooms overlook the pedestrian street in front of the hotel or the central patio. Each room contains comfortable, quality beds, television and climate control, as well as a fully equipped bathroom. Recent upgrades include the addition of hydro-massage showers to most rooms. A unique suite includes a ground level living room with sofa, with stairs leading to a loft style bedroom.

Guests enter reception from the pedestrian section of
Calle Abades. Just off the reception is the central patio and guest
lounge with a sofa and tables. Original paintings from a local Sevillian
artist are featured throughout the hotel common areas and stairways.

The Hotel YH Giralda is located in the Santa Cruz quarter, only 100 meters from the Cathedral. Just a few meters further are the Alcazar and Archivo de Indias (Indian Archives). The Santa Cruz quarter is pure Andalusian, including pedestrian streets and plazas lined with typical white washed buildings, tapas bars, outdoor dining, and a variety of small shops. Hotel YH Giralda offers an excellent location in Santa Cruz as well as an ideal setting in a renovated casa-palacio which was formerly a house of abbots. We have always enjoyed a stroll down Calle Abades, with one direction leading us to the Cathedral in under one minute, and the opposite direction leading to the Alfalfa quarter. Either direction provides us with plenty of tapas bars, restaurants and outdoor cafes. We especially like the individual touches throughout the hotel: from the warm, personalized service to the original paintings and furnishings which decorate the common areas of the building. And the table in the central patio always features a centerpiece of fresh flowers. One of Seville's favorite meeting points, Bodega Santa Cruz, or Las Columnas as it is known to the locals, is just around the corner from the hotel. |
