Hotel Un Patio al Sur is located on a pedestrian street in the central shopping district, close the Museum of Fine Arts. The recently renovated
19th century Sevillian house, (opened in October 2008) includes 11
rooms on two floors. All rooms have windows to interior patios, while some rooms have balconies
to the pedestrian street in front of the hotel. The hotel common areas include a central Andalusian patio covered by a glass ceiling, as well as a roof terrace overlooking the surrounding neighborhood. The Hotel's location in the shopping district offers a central location for visiting the city: the Arenal and Santa Cruz quarters are within 5 and 10 minutes respectively. The original architecture of the historic home was maintained, including the central patio and typical exterior with balconies. The interior or the building is modern and bright, including original paintings and decoration by local artists.

Guest rooms are furnished in a modern style, with careful attention to smaller details. Each room includes a complete bathroom, individual climate control, satellite and TDT (Digital) television and a wardrobe for clothing and luggage storage. All rooms also have double-paned windows. All superior rooms in the hotel include large 42" flat screen televisions and a small sofa, while two superior rooms also include balconies to the street.

Guests enter the hotel through the original wrought iron gate, dated from 1853, indicating the original construction of the house. On the ground floor is the reception as well as a small sitting area in the central patio. At the back of the patio is the elevator leading to the guest rooms on the first floor. At the front of the patio are the stairs leading to the guest rooms and roof terrace. The common areas of the hotel feature marble floors, while guest rooms are fitted with comfortable wood flooring.

The hotel is located in a pedestrian only area of the center of Seville, located in the central shopping district close to the Museum of Fine Arts. Guests are very close to the Arenal quarter with sights such as the Hospital de la Caridad, Plaza de Toros and the Guadalquivir river. Hotel Un Patio al Sur is in keeping with it's sister hotel, Hotel Un Patio en Santa Cruz: an historic building with a bright, modern interior. We like the size of the hotel: with only 11 rooms guests receive the full attention of the staff and are able to relax in the common areas without feeling crowded. We also find the original paintings compliment the intimate, boutique atmosphere of the hotel. We especially like the owner's involvement in the renovation of the hotel, where careful attention was paid to the smallest of details. The banister decorations and small wall murals in some of the rooms are just two examples of what we think are excellent finishing touches. For location, the pedestrian street is away from car traffic and within the central shopping district where guests can experience the daily city center lifestyle. This area is more central to the city as a whole: the principal shopping streets, Arenal and Santa Cruz quarters, the river and Triana are all within easy reach. |
