Hostal Pensión Javier is located on pedestrian street, just a few
blocks from the Puerta de la Carne in the juderia, or old Jewish
quarter of the city. The 8 room inn was once part of the Santa Maria la Blanca church, which was formerly a synagogue. The major monuments such as the Cathedral and Reales Alcázares are all within a short walk. The pension offers 24 hour reception and a familial atmosphere, while the guest rooms have air conditioning and television.
The central patio serves as reception and sitting area for guests. Decorated in typical andalusian style, it is the focal point of the pension. The pension occupies the entire ground floor of the 18th century building.

All rooms in the pension are located on the ground floor. Two double rooms have windows to the pedestrian street, while one of the triple rooms at the back of the pension has a small window looking onto a patio from Hotel Las Casas de la Juderia. Rooms in the Hostal Pensión Javier also offer the following amenities:

Guests enter the pension through the wrought iron gate on calle Archeros and continue through to the central patio. Two guest rooms are immediately on the left and right upon entering the pension, with reception desk to the back. The patio features a comfortable sofa and chairs adjacent to several original marble columns. Entrance to most of the guest rooms is off the main patio, while two rooms are situated down a small hallway at the back of the hostal. The Hostal Pension Javier offers the following services and facilities:

Hostal Pensión Javier is situated in the heart of Santa Cruz and the old Jewish quarter, just a few minutes walk to the Cathedral and Alcazar. This section of the city is mainly comprised of small pedestrian streets, and is an excellent location to explore the city on foot. Just outside the main entrance, guests are less than a minute's walk from two churches which were once synagogues. The pension is convenient to parks and gardens, such as Parque Maria Luisa and the Jardines Murillo, as well as the University of Seville. Within 10 minutes guests can reach the Prado Bus Station, Tram and Metro stops as well as an airport bus stop. A wide variety of tapas bars, restaurants and cafes are within less than one minute from the hostal. La Carboneria, famous for it's nightly free flamenco performances, is close by. The location, in the Santa Cruz quarter, is the most popular for visiting Seville. The pedestrian streets, outdoor cafes and many sights and monuments are what lure visitors to this area. We are very fond of the couple who runs the hostal for many years now, and live on site. As with any Spanish house this ensures spotless cleaning as well as a welcoming atmosphere, and makes it ideal for families. With only eight rooms, the size of the small hostal means night time activity and noise are at a minimum. Proximity to several forms of public transportation is a plus: the Prado bus station, tram and metro stops are all less than ten minutes away. |
