HOTEL YH GIRALDA
SURROUNDINGS OF THE HOTEL YH GIRALDA
Hotel YH Giralda is in the heart of the Santa Cruz quarter, less than 100 meters from the Cathedral.
We exit the hotel and turn right, arriving at Calle Mateos Gago and this view of the Giralda, the
bell tower of the Cathedral.
We follow Calle Mateos Gago to this plaza in front of the Giralda and Cathedral. We are now less
than one minute from the hotel.
Looking up from the same plaza we see the Giralda.
Turning left we come to the Plaza Virgen del Rey between the Cathedral (shown here) and the Alcazar
To the left is the Archivos de Indias, or Indian Archives.
Turning 180 degrees, we have a view of the entrance to the Alcazar.
Turning left again we walk along the Alcazar walls and back to the narrow streets of Santa Cruz.
We arrive in this small plaza in Santa Cruz along the Alcazar wall.
Continuing on we find Bodega Santa Cruz, or Las Columnas as it is know locally.
We have now com full circle in less than 5 minutes, and the hotel is within just a few meters of the bar.
Leaving the hotel, we now go in the opposite direction, turning left on Calle Abades.
About one hundred meters on the same street we see some interesting balconies.
We continue on Calle Abades, turning right at the next street, Calle Aire,
where we find the entrance to Aire de Sevilla, arab style baths and tea room
located in Santa Cruz.
Inside Aire de Sevilla we find a patio with fountain.
One of the several baths in Aire de Sevilla.
