Apartments Relator
Historical house with modern comfort (see video)
After a recent renovation the Relator apartments have been transformed into a perfect blend of old historical elements and modern design:
Exposed brick and plastered walls, red floor tiles and vast wooden beams, a display of some of the original elements used in the construction of this residential building.
Well thought-out facilities
The living room and dining area are housed in the same room and can accommodate four adults comfortably.
The kitchen in the apartment is modern and bright and is fully equipped for your convenience.
Small appliances like a kettle, coffee maker, and toaster are included to give the guest more of a feeling of home.
Pots and pans, plates and cutlery are ready for use upon arrival.
A unique place generous in space
The original
Mosaic Floors
from the 1920s have been preserved.
Tiles in the house entrance on the ground floor show scenes of the story of
Don Quijote.
The bedroom and living room come with wardrobe space for guests to store their belongings.
Each Relator apartment has a floor plan of 60 m2, so you can be assured there is ample space if occupied by 2 guests. For additional guests, the pullout bed in the large living area can be used.
Ideal for one or two couples
The living room and dining area face the street and the bedroom opens to an inner courtyard, so the apartment offers both quiet slumbers and a vibrant city feel.
The bedroom has a double bed of 2,00 x1,50 m for 2 guests.
There is a double sofa-bed in the living room for additional guests. Separate air conditioning units in living and bedroom assure that guests are cool at all times during the hotter summer months.
Picturesque and lively surroundings
Relator street is in between two very different neighborhoods:
Calle Feria
has the character of a village, with many small, family run and independently owned shops and bars.
One block down from the apartment, you'll find one of Europe's oldest markets. In this typically Spanish setting, you'll find locals as well as tourists looking for queso (cheese), serrano (ham) or aceitunas (olives).
The Alameda de Hercules
is Europe’s oldest public park. This is a large open plaza with modern bars and restaurants lining both sides.
The area is popular with the young and urban crowd, and one of the preferred places for going out at night.
With bars, clubs and many restaurants right on the doorstep of the apartment, you don't need to go far to enjoy all that the old town of Seville has to offer.
A short 12 minute walk takes you to Plaza del Duque de la Victoria and the El Corte Inglés department store.
This plaza is considered the very centre of the city, making it accessible to all areas of interest in Seville such as the Cathedral, the Alcazar, the old Tobacco Factory, the Golden Tower, etc.

Observations
CONDITIONS:
1/ Non-smoking apartments. You may smoke outside on the roof terrace.
2/ Even though the house has been thoroughly reformed and everything works well, there are items that need to be treated with care, especially the old carpentry.
3/ The apartments are not suitable for small children.
4/ As the ceilings are of wood beams and one layer of brick stones, there is less noise insulation when compared to concrete ceilings.
Take care not to keep noise levels low at night or early in the morning which may disturb the guests of the other apartment.
SHARED WASHING MACHINE:
There is a washing machine on the ground floor of the house, below the staircase, for the private use of the tenants. Washing powder is provided. Drying space is on the roof terrace.
GROCERIES:
The closest, but small,
supermarket is on calle Feria, about 200m to the left when coming from the apartment.
The above mentioned
open food market is on calle Feria, about 300m to the right. Opens Mon-Sat, 9 am to 2 pm.
Some basic Spanish is required as the food is not packaged and you should indicate the quantity of each item.
A
large supermarket is in the basement of above mentioned El Corte Ingles department store, which opens Mon-Sat, 10 am to 10 pm.
There is a good
bakery which offers a variety of bread on calle Feria. After passing the market you will find it on the right (50m from the market).
The bakery is also open on Sunday mornings.
Another option for buying food on Sunday morning is a
Chinese shop (calle Cruz Verde) which is the first street to the left after passing the market.
INTERNET:
You can receive a wireless modem to connect to the internet. This service is without cost, but you must advise in advance at the time of making your reservation.
BREAKFAST:
We have arranged for a courtesy breakfast for our guests staying at the daily rate, from Monday to Saturday.
This is a
light Breakfast, which consists of a
cup of coffee, tea, or milk, and a
toast with butter and jam, honey, or olive oil and tomato.
The location is
bar caferia
on calle Feria nr. 61, about 1 minute walking from the apartment.
(Please note breakfast is not included in the weekly rate, nor Sundays when the bar is closed.)
EAT AND DRINK:
You could start your tapas route in Feria street, and then continue at Alameda de Hercules Square, just 2 min walk. There you will find a many bars, restaurants and pubs.
PARKING:
Car parking facilities are located at the El Corte Ingles department store and near the Andalusian Parliament, which is to the north of the apartment just outside of the Macarena gate.
Both car parks are approximately 7 minutes walking distance to the apartment. Street parking is possible, but it is difficult to find a free space.
