Alfalfa Animal Market

The animal market at Plaza de la Alfalfa is held every Sunday morning, until 2 pm.

Although early in the morning the crowds have already gathered.

Bird seed for sale.

And of course a wide selection of parakeets.

Take your pick: yellow or orange.

Looks like something may have escaped from it’s cage!

Children love the animal market which is like a petting zoo with plenty of animals to choose from

The dogs are the main attraction – who can resist this little guy.

Looks like this one has had enough affection for the day.

In winter time the chestnut roasters do a good business.
